Welcome to the "Imagination Library" website, sponsored under Education Initiative Corp.
We're very happy to announce that beginning January 2012, children in zip codes 32462 (Vernon FL) and 32428 (Chipley FL) will be eligible to enroll their children into the Imagination Library Program. We hope with the success of the Imagination Library in Vernon and Chipley that we will be able to expand to other cities across the FL Panhandle.
The Imagination Library is the best childhood literacy program available throughout the entire world. The program promotes a love for reading for children before they even enter kindergarten by providing them with 1 book per month from the time they are born until they reach kindergarten. The goal is to have all children reading before beginning school.
Putting books into children's home allows for parents and other family members to spend quality time with the child, something that unfortunately has become an action of the past. The Imagination Library strives to give children the power of knowledge, education, and simply a love for reading. With that, we truly believe they can conquer the world.
The Imagination Library only survives and serves OUR community if individuals and businesses donate. Every donation helps. It takes approximately $26 to fund a child for a year. We hope everyone takes the time to donate and join our goal of educating Washington County children! All donations are tax deductible.
